*2023: TINUBU WILL PROPEL NIGERIA TO PROSPERITY | ADEBAYO JAMIU JULIUS
_The All Progressives congress (APC) Presidential candidate at the forthcoming 2023 general elections is none other than the maestro himself, the indefatigable and egalitarian Leader, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu._
*A Political utilitarian to the core:* Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a political utilitarian who prioritises the welfare of the people. He’s a patriotic citizen who’s spearheaded struggles for the emancipation and development of democracy in Nigeria and beyond. He is an enigma who believes in the suzerainty of Democratic ethos and principles.
His belief system is glaringly evident in his developmental strides both in his private and public lives. He has set and raised standards, his name has become an anthem of some sort across the country. His wide acceptability among hardworking, achieving and well meaning Nigerians is testament to the solid and impeccable reputations he’s garnered over the years as an accomplished accountant, incredible and eminently productive administrator and a mentor par excellence. Asiwaju isn’t desperate for power and he doesn’t engage with anyone in power tussles. WHY WOULD HE? Asiwaju has been able to succeed where most of his traducers have failed. This is the only explanation for the degree of angst and animosity against him.
What Asiwaju believes in is infusion and reinforcement of his intellect, knowledge capacity and capability into politics and governance as was the case in Lagos when he held sway as Governor in what’s now being popularly exemplified and catchphrased as “Lagos Success Story”. More importantly, the several states across the federation where Asiwaju’s magic wands have directly or indirectly impacted governance.
His “RENEWED HOPE” Action Plan is not borne out of the desire to sloganeer but courageously meant to achieve a set purpose that will catapult Nigeria into Prosperity. Every passionate and patriotic Nigerian should endeavor to embrace these lofty ideas of Industrial Renaissance, Sustainable growths and guaranteed quality assurance of Livelihoods. The candidature of the most qualified among the major contenders isn’t meant to achieve a personal ambition for self aggrandizement but an ambition to break the shackles of poverty, liberate Nigeria from the effects of herculean global headwinds and Propel Nigeria to the Promise Land of Equal Opportunities, Fairness, Justice and appreciable Standards of Living regardless of Ethnicities, Religious inclinations and Political leanings.
In one of my articles on “Restructuring, Regionalism and Effective Governance System” I posited that ” Federalism is the equitable distribution of power and resources among the components units. No federating units should be stronger enough to dominate another. Asiwaju doesn’t believe in restructuring as a catchphrase for electioneering purposes. Asiwaju has encultured the gospel truth of restructuring in all facets of his services as a Governor and as the national Leader of the Progressive wing of the Polity. He’s had to be confronted with the daunting tasks of probing headlong, the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria at numerous times and he prevailed in as many times as he’s approached the Supreme Court. Fiscal Federalism is Coming, empowerment of the states and local government councils is coming and state policing will receive considerations.
National development stems from a good and well thought-out innovations, Tinubu is an innovative leader with successful track records of deliveries who’s evolved policies and strategies to develop human and material capitals over the last 3 decades. This is who he is and what he stands for “in deeds and in truth”.
Asiwaju will definitely prioritise increasing food production and storage. We need not be reminded that he’s now popularly referred to as Agbado, Ege and ewa (Maize, Cassava and Beans). He’s set sights on ramping up food production in order to create employment and wealth and also ensure Nigeria becomes a huge stakeholder in the export game.
Security of lives and property Must be a paramountcy to any Government. It is the most Primary of the Responsibilities of a Government. President Muhammadu Buhari has dutifully confronted the twin monsters of terrorism both in the North East and the South East and Banditry in the North West and some parts of North Central by allocating more resources to the military. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Will, on assumption of office, begin necessary moves to bring tact, adequacy, resharpening of tools, expansion and improvement of existing infrastructures; both digital and physical. More manpower would be brought on board and more synergy would be achieved among all security agencies. Asiwaju has hinted that he hopes to create a ABATTS unit that would solely be a battalion responsible for Antiterrorism operations. He’s got the requisite experience to succeed herein as he did create the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) while he was Governor of Lagos state. This Police Unit is still standing strong, mobile and professional till date because successive governments in Lagos have sustained and improved upon what they met.
*Quality and effective Education Strategy:* Education is the bedrock to National advancement, giving a reasonable attention to the education sector is one of the major priorities of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that’s why his service is needed for more improved and quality education. He seeks to create a knowledge-based economy that will place Nigeria on the same pedestal with the developed world in terms of global trends of Artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, mechatronics, robotics, financial technology and lot more. These and many more he seeks to achieve by providing incentives for students who take up careers in STEMS ( science, technology and mathematics).
*Unemployment;* It’s ubiquitous. Nevertheless, a global situation which only geniuses can help to tame. Asiwaju is a genius and a focused intellectual whose core competence would be in the areas of economic management and, finding lasting and sustainable solutions to the problem of unemployment. His voracious appetite for employing highly skilled, experienced and accomplished people will be brought to bare as he seeks to create mountain of opportunities for our teeming youthful population; wealth creation is an area where he’s created a niche for himself. It’s therefore very important to continue to drive home the points that we need someone of high intellectual vitamin and experience in the mould of *Jagaba Borgu* to proffering lasting solutions to these issues.
Propelling the country from a developing Nation to an advanced and a fully developed Nation lies in our hands. *Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu* is the key to good and sustainable governance. *Jagaban* is the pathway to Nigeria’s greatness. *Oko Oluremi* knows the road and we must ensure we do all we can to follow him
