Don’t vote for party of killers, Accord Chairman warns Oyo voters

The State Chairman of Accord, Hon Isiaka Salami has warned Oyo State voters not to vote violence-prone political parties who would rather resort to violence instead of preservation of life.
Hon Salami spoke on Thursday in the aftermath of the clash between members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) which left about three people dead and several injured.
According to him, the antecedent of the major gladiators in the two parties have shown that violence is part of their DNA. One has been fingered in death and violence in times past while the other is nursing and sponsoring killer squads
“ Oyo State has moved away from this violent past, we should therefore not go back to voting into office all these purveyors of violence. People of Oyo State should shine their eyes”, he said.
Three people were reportedly killed at Ile Titun area in Ibadan South East local government area Thursday evening.
Several other people were seriously injured during the clash between party supporters.
Some vehicles and motorcycles were also damaged during the clash.
