A congratulatory message has been sent to the newly sworn in acting Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
A statement signed by Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, President, Senator Abiola Ajimobi Foundation (SAAF), described the elevation of Justice Ariwoola as reward for his high level of integrity and excellent service to the country, over the years, as a member of the judiciary and the Apex court.
“Your Lordship, this is a call to national service and it’s coming at a most challenging period for the nation when there is so much expectation from the judiciary. As we are all aware, the judiciary has always been regarded as the last hope of the common man, we however enjoin you to continue to uphold the trust and the higher responsibility placed on your shoulder by the appointment”.
Further, the SAAF president said the elevation was a crowning achievement to
“honour your proficiency, dedication, excellence and legal dexterity.
“ I thank the Almighty God for sparing your life to witness this crowning achievement of over four decades of selfless service to the nation, hallmarked by different appointment and complete and judicious interpretation of the law of the land.
“We are confident that with your antecedent and pedigree at the bench, you will deliver to the admiration of President Mohammadu Buhari who found you worthy of this enviable position and the Nigerian masses who look up to you for judicial succour.
“Sir, we most humbly celebrate with you and pray that the good Lord will continue to give you the wisdom, knowledge and understanding and above all good health to function well in your new office and live up to the confidence that led to your elevation”.
