Adelabu in race, no alliance with Makinde – Nalado, Accord National Chairman
National Chairman of Accord party, Malam Muhammad Nalado has debunked rumours that the party has entered into alliance with Gov. SeyiMakinde for the March 11 governorship election.
He spoke on Wednesday while reacting to information that the party has entered into a pact to support Gov Makinde. “Nothing can be further from the truth. We have always been aware of the anti-party antics of the State Chairman, Kolade Ojoand those encouraging him.
We have it on good authority that they collected N500M from Governor Makinde who has been running helter-skelter having known that the people have pitched tent with Accord.
Nalado said the party leadership would soon meet to take appropriate sanction on the anti-party activities as evidenced in the action of Kolade Ojo, the Secretary and those encouraging the anti party activity.”
Similarly, Chairmen of Accord across the 33 local government in the State have dissociated themselves from the latest development. “ The Chairman and Secretary are on their own. There was no time that we had any meeting our discussion to support any other candidate except Adelabu. Penkelemess remains our governorship candidate.
