Breaking News : Two abducted at Ibadan quarry site
Two people were abducted from a quarry site in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Monday.
The victims it was gathered include a staff of RCC and that of a new generation bank.
The kidnap, it was gathered occurred when gunmen stormed the quarry site (Binu Quarry) located in Dalli Village, along Ibadan – Ijebu-Ode Road, Ibadan to seize the victims.
An unconfirmed source gave the names of the kidnapped victims to include, one Mr. Popoola Isaac, of RCC and Mr. Ismail Adeoye, a staff of Polaris bank.
It was gathered that the case was reported at the Idi Ayunre police station, Ibadan.
The kidnap of the duo is coming a few months after some gunmen stormed a quarry site at Akinyele local government area in Ibadan and kidnapped some workers.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed the abduction.
Fadeyi on Tuesday said efforts have been intensified to get the victims released.
He said, “Efforts intensified to get them released and also arrest the abductors.”
