Digital generation, Our generation. | Fatima Hassan
In this digital world, every under 18 girl has the right to be safe, right to education and a healthy life, not only during these critical growing years, but also as they mature into women.
If effectively supported during the adolescent years, girls have the potential to change the world . both as the empowered girls of today and as tomorrow’s workers, mothers, entrepreneurs, mentors, and political leaders.
With effective communication, we can achieve a new generation of highly reformed and confident women.
#Talktothegirlchild
The teen years are very delicate for the girl child but can scale through successfully if
TALK TO THEM, AND LET THEM KNOW OUR OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, SO THEY WILL NOT BECOME VICTIMS OF THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES.
When a girl starts experiencing puberty, most she gets excited, feeling all matured, feeling more beautiful than she really even is. More reason she believe very quickly when a boy approaches her.
That’s if she has not been sexually harrassed or molested even before this stage. YES, she might have been under our nostrils. Most girl child keep these experiences they have with evil perpertrators to themselves.
But if only we can make them our best friends, let’s sensitize them and listen to their worries, such a way that makes them see a friend in us. never say they are too small to know certain things, they grow everyday, let them hear and learn these certain things from us.
Its a digital world they can access whatever information they wish, lets bear this in mind.
