Honorable Bimbo Kolade spreads goodwill, encourages accountability in New Year’s message.
HON BIMBO KOLADE’S NEW YEAR MESSAGE.
My dear Good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District and fellow Nigerians, let us give thanks to the Almighty God who has kept us as one people from the beginning of the year till the last day of 2021.
Despite the many challenges of the year, we have a lot to be thankful for as a people and indeed as a nation.
You would recall that at the beginning of the year 2021, I urged you all not to despair, but to hold on to our faith in God; I further enjoined us to challenge the government to do better in a constructive manner, even as the government worked to improve the state of our economy…this remains an important responsibility of the “office of every Nigerian citizen”.
While we are not yet where we hope to be, we have definitely moved in a positive direction towards the achievement of the set goals for the nation. Thankfully, we are gradually coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic and it is our prayer that we will overcome the new Omicron variant quickly. We hope that as this happens, we shall see the effect reflect in the pockets and meal tables of all Nigerians. I see this happening in 2022 by God’s grace.
Once again, I want to encourage you not to despair, but do not be careless either. We all must play our parts in the governance and rebuilding of the Nigeria of our dreams. This task can only be achieved by the positive input from both the Government and the citizens.
On this note, I wish you all a prosperous, peaceful and more profitable 2022.
Hon Bimbo Kolade.
