Honourable Olajide Olatubosun empowers Oyo Youths

… Aim to further bridge skill gap

The member representing Saki West/Saki East/Atisbo Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Hon. Olajide Olatubosun has empowered youths in his constituency with vocational skills.

The vocational skills covered but not limited to:
POP training
Electrical Installation
Phone Hardware repair
Tiling Works and more…
This intensive training by Hon. Olajide Olatubosun was in conjunction with National Directorate Of Employment (NDE).

The objective is that at the end of the training and internship, the beneficiaries would have acquired knowledge, skills and technical know-how to become well-heeled Entrepreneurs.

Similarly, the first batch of vocational training was concluded on Friday, 17th of December 2021 with beneficiaries taken from 32 Wards spread across Atisbo, Saki- East and Saki – West Federal Constituency.

More importantly, from January 2022, all of the 55 trained beneficiaries will undergo practical internships with several Organisations to acquire technical skills that will get them ready for the business world. The internship will last for a period of 3/4 months

Finally, after their practical internship Olajide Olatubosun will go further by making the tools of their various trades available to them so they can hit the ground running.

This employment initiative will help to turn the table on unemployment in the district as those empowered by the training will become employers of labour, helping to bridge the skill gap.
