TOMORROW IS HERE: IT’S EITHER WE MAKE OR MAR IT
Dear APC Delegates,
Tomorrow is here. History is about to be made. Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency will either make history of re-enacting a renaissance of hope, a beckon to total quality leadership representation and an embracement of developmental politics or mar the future of yet to be born generation. Our political decision today signals what comes to us tomorrow in terms of governance deliverables. We are all going to be on the side of history – either as harbingers of glad tidings, good governance and people-centric advocacy or we are remembered as killjoys. Where Egbeda/Ona-Ara will be in the next four (4) years will be determined tomorrow by your votes.
As delegates, do we want to be remembered for facilitating more development to our heritage – our source, our constituency or we want history to remember us for being responsible for visionless representation at the Federal House of Representatives? If the former is our intent, then, we have a golden opportunity in a man who has done a lot for the people of our constituency even as a non-political office holder. Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola (A.K.A) has without equivocation proven his mettle as an ‘ató ó f’isé ogun rán’ (a worthy ambassador) to represent the good people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency at the Green House, Abuja.
Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola (A.K.A) as a ‘plenipontentiary’ of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency will make the people’s welfare his priority if given the chance to represent their interest. Hon. Akinola is not one man who relishes in vainglorious political braggadocio with no commensurate physical structure to match his words. He does what he says. He says what does. A private visit to the Constituency by anyone on a fact-finding mission will reveal his acceptability, credibility and comeliness among his constituents. Several beneficiaries of his numerous philanthropic projects are those whom have turned themselves into his campaign mouthpiece. He is no doubt the candidate to beat tomorrow.
One peculiar idiosyncrasy of Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola(A.K.A) is that he does not believe in attaining political relevance before giving back to the society. Little wonder then when the people of his constituency decided to own his campaign and take it as their pet project. This camaraderie and unflinching support were displayed yesterday at the venue of the Party’s primaries at the Iwo Road Party Secretariat where several Party members had gathered to drum such unprecedented support for him. The charged atmosphere did not portray him as a man giving the seat a shot for the first time. Rather as a man who was more than prepared to take on the gauntlet as give it his all.
Therefore, here is an appeal to all voting delegates that as we all file out tomorrow to take a decision on behalf of our heritage – Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, we must be conversant with the fact that whatever decision we take tomorrow, history is there to witness for or against us all. Let the development of Egbeda/Ona-Ara take the centre spread in your mind. Let us all unanimously vote for the candidacy of Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola (A.K.A) to bring more development to the people of the Federal Constituency as their representative. Let us allow him prove to the world that ‘Akin ju Akin lo’ (Akin pas Akin in the colloquial language of pidgin or broken English).
Vote wisely and judiciously. Vote Akin Omo Akin.
