Adelabu congratulates President Tinubu on Supreme Court verdict
The Supreme Court verdict affirming the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu has been described as historic.
In a statement personally signed by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu immediately following the apex court’s decision, Adelabu hailed this historic verdict as a significant stride in fortifying democracy, our electoral laws, and reaffirming the trust of the Nigerian voters in their choice during the presidential election held on February 25.
“The Supreme Court, through this momentous win, confirms that the electoral outcome truly mirrors the will of the people, assuring the nation that Nigeria is securely in the capable hands of President Tinubu. This ruling further fortifies our electoral framework. The justices of the Supreme Court deserve commendation for upholding their integrity, unwavering against any intimidation, and adhering to the principles of our jurisprudence,” Chief Adelabu remarked.
Adelabu also praised President Tinubu as a dedicated democrat, poised to lead Nigeria towards a more prosperous and stable economy, ensuring our nation’s distinct path in the global community.
“The Supreme Court’s declaration leaves no room for doubt, as it confirms the mandate generously granted to the President by Nigerians. This outcome signifies a triumph for our evolving democracy, all Progressives, the entire Nigerian populace, and our electoral commission. It is a validation of the people’s choice, an enduring hallmark of visionary leadership,” Adelabu stated.
The Minister urged all Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite with President Tinubu in advancing democracy and fostering a peaceful, economically thriving nation that all citizens can take pride in, setting an example for the African continent.
“President Tinubu remains a leader of noble character, a visionary with an unwavering commitment to Nigeria and its people, transcending political, ethnic, and religious boundaries over the years,” Adelabu noted.
In conclusion, Adelabu expressed hope that this moment would encourage President Bola Tinubu’s political adversaries to collaborate in the pursuit of national progress, reform, and economic recovery.
