AKINYELE SOUTH LCDA CHAIRMAN MR KAZEEM ADEKUNLE KAGARA ; AN AGENT OF EXPLOITATION AND EXTORTION.
I asked myself series of questions that who bewitched us in Akinyele Local Government that sometimes we are always victims of bad leaders whose sole responsibilities are to victimize, extort, oppress and exploit people living in the local government areas.
Akinyele South LCDA Chairman, Mr Kazeem Adekunle Kagara who is yet to spend a year in office has been going round extorting people all in the name of being a Caretaker Chairman Sasa Market Association who showed love and commitment towards the government of the day and has never in the time immemorial lagging behind in the payment of dues has been a victim of extortion from the said Local Government Caretaker Chairman.
Mr Chairman, you imposed a levy on those traders at ISO ALUBUSA, asking them to pay 3000 per ALUBOSA STAND also known as IGI which they paid to you directly roughly 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira) Which the Money was paid to you in your House without any receipt or evidence of payment.
The most painful part of this is that the chairman failed to remit the said fee into the cofer of the local government, which means that the illegal money was collected to satisfy the belly of the chairman and his cohort alone.
And also amidst this pandemic ravaging the world, the cluelessness and selfishness of Mr Caretaker made him to start imposing #200 ticket per shop in Akinyele South LCDA, this is inhumane, instead of finding means to distribute palliatives to people, you’re busy imposing levies.
One would begin to wonder why Governor Seyi led administration was bent on removing the democratically elected Chairmen in the state. It is now glaring and visible to us all that Governor Seyi Makinde is using those caretaker chairman to extort and exploit the good people of the state.
I challenge the Caretaker Chairman to come out and debunk this because there are evidences to show to him that he is yet to remit the illegal money into the account of local government ( an act which could be seen as a daylight robbery) by the agent of embezzlement from the PDP in the state.
I hereby call on the higher authority to wade into this issue so as to call Mr Chairman into order because the good people of Sasa Market Association are law abiding and will definitely reject any form of extortion from anybody henceforth.
Our demands are as follows:
1. That the said money be refunded or remitted to the purse of the Local Government
2. That the Caretaker Chairman should forget about the 3000 per stick imposed on our members
3. That until our annual payment is due, Mr Chairman should desist from any form of victimization of the said association
4. That any form of oppression will be resisted from all and sundry.
Thanks
