BREAKING: Buhari intervenes, halts APC’s NEC meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari has intervened in the controversial National Executive Committee(NEC) meeting of the All Progressive Congress(APC) scheduled for Tuesday. This was shortly after his meeting on Monday with
Governors elected on the party’s platform.

The meeting with the President was called inorder to fashion a way out of the leadership crisis bedevilling the ruling party.

At the end of the meeting which lasted for about 15 minutes, the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, told State House correspondents that the president agreed to their request for the postponement of the meeting.
He said the meeting will hold when the governors are able to resolve the present crisis.
