Honorable Olajide Olatubosun mourns Olubadan as he sympathises over loss of monarch

Hon. Olajide Olatubosun representing Atisbo / Saki East/West, Federal constituency has commiserated with the government and people of Oyo State, the Royal Family, the Olubadan-in-council, and the people of Ibadan on the passing of Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji.

In a statement issued by his media office, Hon. Olajide described the death of the Olubadan, as a huge loss not just to the people of Ibadan but the entire nation.

The late king, he said, was a father and a leader who was always in the pursuit of peaceful resolution in all situations.

“Oba Saliu will be remembered for his exemplary roles as a peacemaker. My earnest prayer to God is to grant the family, Ibadan and people of Oyo State the fortitude to bear the painful loss” ~ He said.

Oba Saliu Adetunji joined his ancestors on January 2, 2022, and has since been buried in his palace according to Islamic rites.

The deceased monarch was crowned 41st Olubadan on March 4, 2016. He was born on August 26, 1928, as the first of 17 children of his parents.

The First-class mornach will be fondly remembered.
