Eid el fitr: Ajimobi urges togetherness and peace
Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abiola Ajimobi has urged Nigerians to live in togetherness and peace as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.
According to a Eid-el- fitr message issued by Bolaji Tunji, his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, the immediate past Governor of Oyo State also urged Nigerians to continue to cooperate with President Mohammed Buhari and the Federal Government in the management of the Covid-19 disease that is currently afflicting mankind.
While urging Nigerians to continue to keep safe in this lock down period, he enjoined the people of Oyo State and Nigeria to exercise patience as government was doing all in its power to ensure that the country was not adversely affected by the pandemic and its attendant economic implication.
“ We should continue to strictly adhere to the laid down protocol in the management of Covid-19. We must at all times wash our hands, use our facemask and continue the social distancing advisory while not forgetting to sanitise our hands as often as necessary, he said. “
Ajimobi also said that the country will only achieve greatness in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
“It is only in an atmosphere of peace and love that people can thrive and attain their potentials”.
“ Nigeria should exhibit love towards fellow human beings and re-dedicate themselves to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammed,” he said.
“Let us use the period of this festival to pray for the peace, progress and economic emancipation of our dear country,” he said.
