Oyo APC will come out stronger from current crisis —Kolapo Kola-Daisi
Oyo South Senatorial aspirant, Hon Kolapo Kola- Daisi has enjoined party stalwarts and members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Oyo State not to lose hope as the party will come out stronger from its current crisis.
Hon Kola- Daisi made the statement while addressing party leaders and elders in Ibarapa zone during his visit to the zone at the weekend.
It will be recalled that Oyo State APC is still embroiled in leadership crisis as a result of the non- acceptability of the State congress by majority of party leaders and members, citing usage of doctored delegates list in the conduct of the Congress organised to elect new exco to run the affairs of the party in the State.
The Senatorial aspirant who is married to the first daughter of former two-term governor of Oyo State late Senator Abiola Ajimobi said he decided to join the Senatorial race with a view to further give to the society the way his father, the popular industrialist, Chief Kola Daisi, had done.
“For me politics is about service to the people. It is a way of further ensuring development in the society. As an industrialist, my dad contributed in his own way to the society, that is also my aim when I decided to throw my cap into the political ring”, he said.
Kolapo Kola- Daisi said his visit to the elders and leaders in Ibarapa zone known as G9 was to intimate them and seek their support for his aspiration.
Responding on behalf of the leaders, Pa T.A Jolaoso spoke highly of Kola-Daisi’s pedigree, and stressed the need to keep intimating the entire party structure with his impressive resume, his readiness and plans for Oyo south.
“Your coming here today has proven your omoluabi nature. You have honoured us, and God will honour you too. We are impressed with your experience, and our only advice to you is to keep spreading your impressive statements here today to the entire Oyo south. We are proud of you, your antecedence and your illustrious pedigree. By the grace of God, you will succeed and your heart desires for our senatorial district will come to pass”, PA Jolaoso said.
The visit which had in attendance all members of the G9 was led by the Director- General of the Kolapo Kola -Daisi Campaign Organisation, Mr Lekan Afuye.
