Covid-19: Oyo CP leads patrol to enforce curfew
Oyo State Police Commissioner, Mr Shina Olukolu on thursday night led his men on patrol across the city of Ibadan to enforce the 7pm to 6am curfew.
One of his first port of call was the Aleshinloye-Iyaganku junction where patrol vans were strategically placed across the road to block vehicles still moving around after the curfew had started.
The same scenario played out around the city with police barricades established on roads to arrest defaulters of the curfew order. OyoToday gathered that only people on essential services especially those related to the Covid-19 were only given consideration.
Many motorists were caught by the Police Commissioner, who was spotted in mufti, especially around the Aleshinloye junction during the exercise which would still continue for some days.
